See I am Doing a New Thing!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 NIV

I want to start off by saying that I have always been a rather free-spirited individual. I have always found it hard to conform to the “norms” of society and what, as Gram has often said, how “polite people” behave. Those of my generation in America would call me a hippy; and this is a definition that I gladly, whole-heartedly, embrace. So God doing New Things is sort of “my norm.”
The changes started a bit before the New Year was on the horizon; and some of them were expected, starting with the passing of my Grandmother. She went to her eternal rest Saturday night, November 21 2015. This began a chain reaction of events that has yet to slow down. So let’s back up a little …
Back in the summer of 2014 my youngest brother, Kenn, moved to the State of Tennessee to be closer to his son’s family. He wanted to be close by as his grandchildren grew up, so he loaded up the truck and trailer and moved to Tullahoma. When Gram’s health began to fail, mom – also a carrier of the wanderlust – decided to follow Kenn to Tennessee at Gram’s passing.
So now we are dealing with the passing of Gram and her memorial services, the quickly approaching holidays and the total dismantling of mom’s household to prepare for her move. Right when we thought that things couldn’t get more involved, I learned that my home was in need of some very major repairs. But I am not able to do the work myself due to health issues. Nor can I afford to hire someone to do them for me. Other options; sell it and move into the family homestead for time. After much discussion I did follow the Lord’s leading to sell my home and have moved into the family homestead; though I am still waiting on it to close.
Now God is leading me on a new adventure; the first of many to come. HE is leading me into semi-retirement where I will be living and ministering from an RV (Recreational Vehicle). This will allow me to move across country to visit my extended family and to do the research on the books I am writing. I am very excited about the coming adventures and look forward to finding (or building) the perfect RV to have them from.
Thank you, Lord for all of your Marvelous Works!
